McKissack provided project management and quality assurance/quality control services for the landmark CityCenterDC.
During the preconstruction phase, the firm conducted design reviews of residential components. The first phase of the new 10-acre city center broke ground in April 2011 and includes two office buildings totaling 520,000 SF; two apartment buildings with a total of 458 units. Phase I of CityCenterDC was delivered in late 2013. Phase II included a 350- to 400-room hotel and an additional 110,000 SF of retail. Phase III offers 500,000 SF of office and 40,000 SF of retail space.
