McKissack played a crucial role in the success of this ambitious project as the program manager of record. The firm managed the day-to-day details and complex logistics, including project schedule development, administering the cost model, providing budget management, and developing the risk management plan. McKissack provided design and construction management, which included: design reviews, selection of the CMAR, oversight of the bid process and construction. McKissack’s oversight ensured that the facility met high standards of quality and performance, cementing MGM National Harbor’s reputation as a premier destination in the region. MGM National Harbor is a luxury resort casino near Washington, D.C., featuring a 23-story hotel with 308 rooms and stunning Potomac River views. The resort includes a large casino, upscale shops, a spa, seven restaurants, a 3,000-seat theater with VIP suites, and 27,000 square feet of meeting space. The facility offers parking for 4,800 vehicles and was built to LEED Gold standards for sustainability.
