A $9.5 billion Sustainable Building Program is modernizing all nine colleges in the nation’s largest community college system. In its first prime contract in Los Angeles, McKissack & McKissack provided project management services to Build LACCD.
Forty new structures are designed to meet LEED green building standards and generate solar power on campus. McKissack oversees project management oversight for three campuses and provides program accounting services. An extensive Building Information Modeling protocol allows the Los Angeles Community College District to use innovative green building practices and monitor sustainability for the life of its new facilities.
