McKissack & McKissack developed the framework for the Chicago Housing Authority's $1.6 billion program to overhaul and rehabilitate 17,500 units citywide.
The Chicago Housing Authority (CHA), a municipal corporation, administers federal housing programs for lower income families and seniors. McKissack served as managing partner in the Plan for Transformation (PFT) joint venture and provided program, project and construction management services. Prior to leading the PFT, McKissack served as a prime consultant overseeing nine separate management firms and 12 separate design firms for the CHA’s Capital Improvement Plan projects, which included renovation, demolition and rehabilitation.
