McKissack's design, engineering and project management expertise came into play when relocating to 901 K Street NW. The 23,000 SF office and studio feature an open floor plan bathed in natural light. Hoteling stations are located throughout the space, providing temporary workstations for field personnel and visitors alike. Offices and conferencing facilities overlook D.C.’s bustling downtown streets. The boardroom and entrance hall feature state-of-the-art AV systems and a sophisticated lighting / dimming system. McKissack provided procurement administration and management, scope development and general contractor contract negotiations. All technology, network infrastructure, AV equipment, security and fixtures, furnishings and equipment were separately procured and managed. Permit management and logistics were critical and resulted in an on-time construction start.
