The Trumpet Awards Ceremony is a prestigious event which heralds the accomplishments of African Americans who have made enormous contributions to humankind and helped to make a better world for all of us.Special recognition is given to the few, who symbolize the many, who have overcome the ills of racism and poverty and achieved special greatness. Through consistency and longevity, the honorees have achieved success in a chosen profession or career. Award recipients are chosen not only for what they have achieved individually, but also for the achievement they inspire in others. The Trumpet Awards Ceremony was held on January 25, 2014 in Atlanta, Georgia.
