Jennifer Griffith is an experienced interior designer with over 25 years in the field. She specializes in interior architectural design for corporate workplaces, residential amenities, and cultural and entertainment renovations, as well as new constructions. Her career began in 1995, and since then, she has built a robust portfolio that reflects her passion for excellent design, strong technical expertise, and business acumen. Her skills encompass project management, space programming, conceptual and schematic design, overseeing design development, construction documentation, construction administration, and selecting and specifying furniture and materials. Jennifer has held significant roles at various prestigious firms throughout her career. Currently, she is the Director of Interiors at McKissack & McKissack, a position she has held since 2016. In this capacity, she is also responsible for strategic planning, client relations, and business development and plays a key role in advancing the firm’s design excellence program. Additionally, she has academic experience as a Lecturer, Research Professor, and Project Director at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Colombia. Jennifer's notable projects reflect her versatility and leadership in the industry. She has led interior design and project management efforts for The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) Headquarters Renovation, the DC Water Headquarters Space Planning & Restack, the Capitol Visitor Center Restaurant Renovation, and the Walter E. Washington Convention Center Multiple Renovations. Her work with PEPCO Headquarters Consolidation and the Exelon—Constellation Energy Baltimore Headquarters further showcases her ability to handle complex, large-scale projects. Educationally, Jennifer holds a Master of Arts in Architectural Technology from the University of Nottingham and a Bachelor of Architecture from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. She is a LEED Accredited Professional and an International Associate of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). Jennifer is also a professional member of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA). Her skill set includes owner’s representation, project design and management, and construction administration, making her a well-rounded professional capable of leading multidisciplinary teams to successful project delivery within budget.
