Girard D. Jenkins is a seasoned construction professional with over 34 years of experience across multiple market segments. He currently serves as Vice President for the Midwest & West Region at McKissack & McKissack, a role he has held since 2021. His extensive career includes significant roles at the University of Chicago, Roseland Community Hospital, and the Chicago Housing Authority, among others. Mr. Jenkins has led many projects, including the management and oversight of new construction and renovation projects for office buildings, retail, commercial, healthcare, and laboratories. He is known for his advanced technical competency in project operations and maintenance, as well as his expertise in project management, profit and loss, and design-build projects. His notable projects include serving as a key member of the owners’ representative team for Tuskegee University, providing project management services for the University of Illinois at Chicago, and overseeing over 300 Capital Improvement projects within the Cook County Public Safety Program. He also managed projects at the Roseland Community Hospital and various multi-unit buildings for the Chicago Housing Authority. Mr. Jenkins holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Tuskegee University and has several certifications, including Specification Writing, Construction Management, and Building and Home Inspection. He is actively involved in professional organizations such as the Tuskegee University Alumni Organization and the Chicago Chapter of the Construction Management Association.
