McCormick Place West Expansion

Chicago's McCormick Place is one of the largest convention centers in the nation, attracting more than three million trade and public show visitors annually.
McKissack was a joint venture partner providing quality control and project management services during the construction for Chicago's McCormick Place West Expansion. The West Building, totaling 700,000 SF, brought the complex's total exhibit space to 2.2 million SF and increased the meeting room space to 600,000 SF. It was constructed in an area bordered by Cermak Road, Martin Luther King Drive, Indiana Avenue, and the Stevenson Expressway. Chicago's McCormick Place is one of the largest convention centers in the nation, attracting more than three million trade and public show visitors annually. The LEED-certified McCormick Place West Expansion project added a fourth building to the complex, which was originally comprised of the North and South buildings and the Lakeside Center.
