McKissack is part of the team responsible for the infrastructural development in preparation for the new major league soccer stadium for DC United.
McKissack is leading the design effort in the environmental cleanup, maintenance-of-traffic, building demolition, preparation of the master utility plans and permitting. Responsibilities included the development of utility plans while coordinating with planned construction by Pepco, Washington Gas and Verizon in a utility-dense project area. Utility lines are being relocated to accommodate the new stadium development and ancillary facilities. Green infrastructure design is included to effectively and efficiently accomplish the stormwater management requirements of the District of Columbia’s Department of Energy and Environment, as well as the Department of Transportation. McKissack is also leading the environmental cleanup effort and is responsible for the development and implementation of voluntary cleanup program.
